At the Centre for Language and Communication Studies (CLCS) students can expect to acquire greater awareness of and appreciation of communication skills and other cultures; develop proficiency in a target language and a basic understanding of its linguistic structure; gain a deeper understanding of textual analysis and literary genres, styles, and periods; engage with current scholarship; and prepare themselves to participate in a global society.

 

Career Prospects

Graduates from the Centre have an opportunity to be gainfully employed and practice as language educators, translators and interpreters, and sign language interpreters.
